Ken Parshall serves as the Superintendent of the Jefferson County Educational Service District and the Jefferson County School District 509-J in Central Oregon. He has previous leadership experience as the Assistant Superintendent of the Salem-Keizer School District in Salem, Oregon, and has been a school principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in multiple school districts in Oregon.
Ken is an instructional leader with a philosophy of communication, collaboration and effective-shared leadership to enhance educational systems with goals of achieving higher outcomes for all students in his district. He has been able to increase student outcomes in every leadership role he has held and is dedicated to continuing to serve the under-served communities and improving student success.
He received his bachelor degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon; his master’s degree from Portland State University; and his administrative licensures from Lewis and Clark University in Portland, Oregon.
